Now I did travel down to a land of taxes on sales. Yea even a land called Wyoming, yea even in a small town called Cowley.
Hey y'all!
This week has been wild. On P-day we had a transfer dinner with the Stake Presidency about 1 1/2 hours away, so needless to say P-day had to end a little early.
Then we got transfer news on Thursday and both Elder Waycott and I are going down to Wyoming and I am training! We found out in the evening so then Wednesday and the majority of Thursday was split up between cleaning, packing, and fulfilling the lessons and visits that we had committed to earlier. We also had District Council which mainly consisted of signing transfer journals.
The actual transfer took place on Friday. So we went down to Helena to catch the transfer bus to Billings. But due to all of the stuff that was set up we didn't end up getting to Billings until about 10:45 pm so we crashed in another set of missionary's apartment in Billings for the night. Then we drove down to Cowley, WY on Saturday. When we got there we found out that our new apartment flooded a few weeks ago and they are still getting it cleaned up and refurbished. So we are crashing with the Lovell, WY elders until the apartment gets all the way fixed.
It turns out that Cowley is a 3 unit area and 2 of the wards meet in the same building so we got to experience a 4 hour church day. Then at dinner we were given a pretty cool gift from the member. So he did some work for a friend who had gotten granite way back when from the same quarry as the SLC temple and he got to keep quite a few stones from this friend. He gave both my companion and I a small chunk off of it.
Well this has been a pretty cool week! I hope y'all have a great one!
