Now behold the field is white already to harvest.......now the field is on fire......Run!!
Hey y'all!
We had a pretty cool week this week. I got transfer news but you'll have to wait until the end of the letter to find out what it is!
Monday- The Shelby elders came down for P-Day. We played a few board games. It was really fun!
Tuesday- We did a few lessons. Then we did an hour of service and tried to contact people.
Wednesday- We went up to Brady to do list contacting. On our way back we saw smoke coming up from a field. We technically did have a half hour of street contacting but we decided to check out the fire instead. We got closer and saw that there was a huge fire and 30-40 mph winds didn't help. The fire went 8 miles in a straight line jumping I-15. One of our members in the volunteer fire department said he was in his truck trying to get ahead of it to dig a ditch and cut it off but his truck couldn't even keep up with how fast it was spreading. So naturally all the stuff for the rest of the day canceled on us as they were trying to fight the fire.
Thursday- We had a district council. It of course rained....after the fire was already put out. We went up to Choteau and tried to find some people that wanted to hear our message up there.
Friday- We were insanely busy. Literally booked from 8:45 in the morning until we rolled into our apartment at 9:30 at night. We served at the food pantry, then went straight to emptying a storage unit. Changed into church clothes and had a short lunch. Went to a lesson with Casey and Elsa. Came back. Changed back into service clothes. Went and helped move 53 bales of hay. Changed back into proselyting clothes and finally got our studies in. We then went to Dutton again for another lesson. We then realized, "hey we're in Dutton we don't want to do our nightly scripture study with Elsa and Casey in a spotty area while driving. Why don't we just visit them and do it in person." And we did! We came back around 9:30 and promptly fell asleep.
Saturday- We went up to Choteau again. We tried to contact people but we weren't too successful. Had dinner then came back home.
Sunday- Went to church in Conrad. Watched the YA devotional. Had an awesome dinner with a member. (THEY GAVE US STEAKS!). Then we got transfer news!! I'm going down to the Bozeman 1st ward!! I'm excited for the change! I feel like I was able to do what the Lord wanted me to do in this area but it's time to move on.
Well it has been an awesome week! Hope y'all have a good one.
Love,
Elder Krebs
