Now we did give out eight copies of the record of the inhabitants of the ancient Americas in one day

 Hello, Hello!

This week has been slam packed with stuff so let's just get right into it.

Monday-

We mainly just chilled and played games there wasn't much to do.

Tuesday-

We had weekly planning and did a lot of street contacting. And we also helped someone pull weeds.

Wednesday-

(This is where the slam-packed starts) We had an exchange. It was so cool! I was with Elder Hendrix during it. We did a few lessons and contacted a lot of people who were previously taught.  Towards the end of our contacting session, we visited one person whose wife answered the door and said she would go get her husband since he was the one who previously met with us and he came to the door and the first thing he said was that we were an answer to his prayers. Turns out that right as we knocked on the door he had been praying on the back porch for God to send him a sign that he loved him. It was really cool to see that we were an answer to prayer.

Thursday-

Continuing on the exchange I learned a very valuable lesson. If you forget deodorant on an exchange it is simply better to fork over the money to buy new deodorant rather than rub toothpaste in your armpits to mask the smell. We also did CrossFit that morning. The area I was exchanging in has a member who owns a CrossFit place and opens the place slightly earlier on Thursdays and does a training session with the missionaries. And of course, this was the day of all days I exchanged, but I did do pretty good at it. After all that happened, we changed and showered and bought new deodorant after the before-stated incident. And we then went into a lesson with the dude from the previous night. We then got lunch and exchanged back. We had a lesson up in Choteau with the person who was recently baptized. In the middle of the lesson, we had all of our phones go off with an emergency alert. Turns out baseball-sized hail was going to fall in about 10 minutes. We were luckily parked near a tree so we were protected by that. And by the time it reached us it was golf ball sized but still pretty scary. After that, we had dinner and headed back to Conrad.

Friday-

We had a really good street contacting session. And we had a lesson with a recently baptized member and her boyfriend who was being taught by previous missionaries but they lost contact with him for a while. Due to some family and friend hostility from being taught, they are getting married this week instead of September as they planned so they can live together while keeping the law of chastity. And guess who was asked to be the best men?! We were!

Saturday-

We helped the senior missionaries serving on the Blackfeet reservation at the powwow that was going on up there. They had a booth at it. We literally contacted all day. We were able to give out 8 Book of Mormons! We talked to a lot of people there. It wasn't until about 4'o'clock that we realized we hadn't had lunch yet. So we took a short break to eat. We then continued on for another hour and a half and then we got rained out. So we packed up and headed to the church to help them put everything back. The sister in that couple felt like going home and laying down so the elder gave us 2 options. We could go out to dinner or we could drive half hour to Glacier National Park. We took the national park even though it is technically out of our zone.

Glacier

Sunday-

After the long day on Saturday, we slept right through both of our alarms and woke up at 8. We got ready in a half-hour for ward council in Conrad.  We then went up to Choteau for church. We then had a lesson here in Conrad. We finally had our personal and companionship studies, we had dinner did some Facebook finding, and went to bed.

Well it has been quite a week.

Hope yall have a good one!

Love,

Elder Krebs

  1. Toothpaste in the armpits?!?! That is hilarious! And Glacier is amazing. I worked there for a summer. I'm glad you were able to visit.
